Strengthening ties with Italy’s institutional and business community while supporting Italian brands in their engagement with the Korean market

Agni Advisory Group was pleased to attend the 2026 Italian National Day Reception, hosted by H.E. Emilia Gatto, Ambassador of Italy to the Republic of Korea, at the Residence of Italy in Seoul on 2 June 2026.
The annual reception brought together representatives from Italy’s diplomatic and business communities, Korean industry participants, and a diverse group of Italian companies and brands operating in or exploring opportunities in the Korean market.
For Agni Advisory Group, the occasion represented another meaningful point of engagement within a relationship with Italy that has continued to develop through both institutional and commercial channels.
Our engagement with the Italian business community has been strengthened through our relationship with the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), including Agni Advisory Group’s participation as an invited Korean buyer at a trade event in Milan. These interactions have provided opportunities to engage directly with Italian companies, manufacturers and institutions seeking to better understand the Korean market and identify appropriate pathways for international expansion.
Connecting Italian Brands with Opportunities in Korea
Korea continues to be an attractive but highly distinctive market for European brands. Successful entry often requires more than identifying a distributor or commercial partner. Brands must navigate local consumer expectations, positioning, regulatory considerations, distribution structures and long-term partner relationships.
Agni Advisory Group works at this intersection, supporting international companies as they evaluate and develop opportunities in Korea.
Through our growing relationships with Italian institutions and businesses, we have had the opportunity to engage with brands across a variety of sectors and to contribute to introducing Italian products, craftsmanship and commercial concepts to the Korean market.
Our role extends beyond introductions. We aim to help overseas companies understand the commercial landscape, assess suitable market-entry structures, identify potential Korean partners and develop relationships capable of supporting sustainable growth.
Building Long-Term Italy–Korea Business Connections
Participation in the Italian National Day Reception also provided a valuable opportunity to reconnect with members of the Italian business community in Korea and exchange perspectives with brands and organisations operating between the two countries.
These relationships form an important part of Agni Advisory Group’s broader cross-border advisory platform.
As our network across Italy and Korea continues to expand, we look forward to supporting further collaboration between Italian companies and Korean businesses — particularly for brands seeking thoughtful, commercially grounded and locally informed approaches to the Korean market.
Agni Advisory Group remains committed to serving as a bridge between international businesses and opportunities in Korea, combining local market knowledge with cross-border commercial, legal and strategic insight.
From institutional connection to market entry
Events such as the Italian National Day Reception create visibility and relationships, but turning that momentum into a viable Korean market presence requires a different set of decisions: partner selection, trademark protection, regulatory planning, distribution structure and commercial terms. For Italian brands considering Korea, our Korea Market-Entry Diagnostic provides a focused review of these issues as a fixed-fee, two-week engagement.
